so much has happened since the last time i posted - march24.
got all of my college letters (thank you God for letting them all turn out well), decided on a college, had an incredibly fun spring break, had an even better 18th birthday, settled all the prom stuff, reunited with some church buddies, took some ap exams
okay that list just skipped from mid april to may. i really can't remember anything i did hahaha.
as much as i hate granada, i don't want high school to end... senior year ending is bittersweet. will i see these people ever again? except for the few i couldn't care less about. i feel my youth is ending. i want to be a child forever.
econ final tomorrow. ackkkkk
how have you been blogspot?

so many things coming up: college acceptance/rejection letters, my birthday (18...OMG), spring break, prom, graduation... wowowow senior year is going by so fast.
i don't know how any of these events will turn out. i can only hope that they don't end up as disasters. i wonder where i'll get into college, what i'll do for my bday, where i'm goin for spring break, who i'm going with to prom, how much i'll cry during graduation.. AHHHHHH

2010!
the last 2 months of 2009 were very rewarding and interesting. i loved the way things ended :)
honestly i thought 2009 had more downs than ups. in the beginning of the year, i stressed about SATs + ACTs, which wasn't fun. on april7th, came home to half of my things destroyed in a flood. yeah, a flood in socal? doesn't make sense right? what a great birthday present. college essays were pretty ugh as well. my grandpa was sick for a bit which was a pretty hard time for my family. my hopes for this one personal aspect of my life was crushed too. this was definitely the year of tears - a lot of them.
but i looked back at what i got out of these "downs." i couldn't avoid these tests if i wanted to go to college so it was something i had to go through. they were inevitable. although i lost half of my belongings, i finally had an excuse to throw out items that were cluttering my room - things i thought i needed, but were actually nonessential. i think this was my first hardship and i'm glad i got through it the way i did. like those standardized tests, college essays were something i had to go through. my grandpa got better and we're still praying for the best. i learned of my family's strength. and although this hope was crushed, i was able to move on from my false optimism and get on with my life!
i got to go to my first mlb playoff game & first laker game! went to florida, nor-cal (twice in one year), vegas (twice -_-), forgot where else. shopped a little too much, socialized a lot in sr year, more than i did at all in jr year hahaha, met new people, got closer to people (HERD HERD HERD! + others :p), watched a lottttta good movies, started watching the best show ever - the office! got my permit, visited college campuses, joined golf again (which was one of the best things i did this year), and got closer to my sisters. i know there's more but i can't think...
all in all, 2009 ended up being pretty awesome? the last half made up for the somewhat miserable first half of the year. 2010 is for turning 18, starting to drive, maturing (hopefully, must learn to cook & clean), graduating high school, and going to college! YAYAYAY. need to create resolutions now...

Merci
TOMORROW is the day that I'm done with everything! My december will be great! except for my feelings of loneliness during the holidays but what's neww. I just have to worry about finals now yessss
My thanksgiving break was wonderful (that word sounds cheesy but it sums it up perfectly haha). Bonded w/ cousins up in the Bay Area by playing games, eating, andddd laughing. My Black Friday was successful but I seriously went broke. Bought a little too much clothes haha. I love the malls up there! The only thing i disliked about break was the 6-hour car ride there and back ahhhh i was dying.
I'm so thankful for my loving family + relatives, friends that make me smile, a house to keep me warm, food on the table everyday, my faith, my education, and the life I've lived so far. i'm truly blessed.
I love Mutts comics they're always SO CUTE

Rambling
I ditched my macbook to use my mom's old-school Toshiba notebook temporarily and it's been serving me well. My macbook has DISTRACTION written all over it, so I refuse to use it for school work + college apps. Every time I try doing homework on that computer, I just end up playing with photobooth or looking at pictures or going on youtube. I've been pretty productive using this thing and I just love Windows hehe
ANYWAY
So yesterday, there was a blackout in my culdesac. I felt like a Barbarian or a puritan from the 17th century ... HAHA with no electricity or wi-fi. But anyway, my sisters and I put a huge group of candles together on the coffee table and just lit them up so we can do our homework around there. It was no help.. candles = weak. We eventually just went to our grandma's house to do homework since there was electricity + internet still there. Thank God they only live 5 minutes away.
This Saturday I'm going to my first college football game yay! And afterwards celebrating an early Thanksgiving with my dad's side of the family (since we'll be out of town all of Thanksgiving break visiting mom's side). I love Thanksgiving: all the good food + family love. I always look back on the past year and see who I'm thankful for and feel blessed. Ahhh I love this time of year

I can go for some milk and cookies right now

trick or treat!
Halloween was so fun! It totally made up for last year's halloween - which I couldn't celebrate because I was busy studying for the SAT IIs that were the next day.

Ate in-n-out w/ Ryan, Andrew, & Laney and they dropped us off at my house. Ryan ended up driving in a circle.. Good job. Got changed with granny lanny (your nickname actually fitted you yesterday!) and we were off to trick-or-treat in g-hills! Met up with Chadwick, Rakeem, and Steve.
I ran into so many of my middle school buddies around there :') Made my day. I miss Frost! Also saw a lot of Granada people. Found Waldo 8x, Got a lot of candy (BIG BAG OF SOUR SKITTLES, YES), the guys + Laney were singing the whole time and rakeem and I always stared at each other with WTF faces hahaha. Tiring walk back to C's house
oh and i saw Joanne, Lucy, Edwin, & Paul! Laney chased after their car hahahah.
Back at Chad's house, they played twister. I was the spinner person but instead I just tried putting them in the most awkward and crazy positions.. It was fun hehe. Joined in their interesting manly talks. They are so funnnnny
Went home and attempted to watch a movie w/ Laney and just as I expected, I fell asleep through the first few minutes.. Why are movies so hard for me
Now it's time for homework and college essays... UGH
I'm so excited for November:
-Day off of school (Veteran's Day yessss)
-Finishing college apps
-UCLA football game
-Bay Area for Thanksgiving break
-BLACK FRIDAY SHOPPING. maybe i'll get my iTouch then muehehe
-need to take my 2nd driving lesson
-other outings.. Idk
just a few more weeks left, you can do it Michelle!
